Rafting
Taylor River
***We are anticipating rafting to begin May 15th for the 2023 season! It’s going to be a great water year and we expect to raft all the way through September!***
The Taylor River rafting trips offer something for every member of your group or family, from mild to wild. This is a scenic narrow river that meanders through the Taylor Canyon. You travel through areas where the canyon walls rise straight up from the river banks and often there are bighorn sheep sightings along the river. If you are lucky, you may even see elk, deer, an occasional black bear or moose.
All trips meet at Three Rivers Resort 30 minutes prior to trip time. To save time at check-in, be sure to complete your electronic waiver, sent in your confirmation email and have everyone in your party do the same. Or download the WAIVER FORM here and bring it with you for your trip. Once you have booked your trip, you may wish to watch this informational Safety Video. At the beginning of each trip you will hear a similar safety talk from your guides.

Float Trip: Almont to North Bridge
This trip is upon request only, as it is not one of our regular daily trips offered. It is a great option for those who would like to see the Gunnison country between Almont and the city of Gunnison. For families with young children, we suggest the Lower Taylor trip instead, as the Gunnison float tends to be a little long for the younger ones. We also offer this section of the Gunnison River as part of the Garlic Mike’s Float ‘n Dine package (see below). The Gunnison float offers a very mellow, easy float where our guides do all the work using an oar frame and you just sit back and enjoy the ride. No experience is necessary. Ideally, all children should be of walking age and weigh at least 30 lbs (for the life jacket rating). All trips meet at Three Rivers Resort 30-45 minutes prior to trip time.
