We started to come to Three Rivers Resort in 2003.  Most years, we were able to visit twice… in May and September/October to fish, watch the aspen turn golden in the fall, relax and enjoy the wonderful high country weather.  We have stayed with Three Rivers over the years because of its excellent location near the Taylor and Gunnison Rivers, well-appointed cabins, and friendly, accommodating personnel. It’s a great place to have a family get together.  One of our most fun times was rafting the Taylor River.

Ever since graduating from Western State College in 1978, I have come back to visit, every year, this cherished community of Gunnison and Crested Butte. I recently shared my trip with Lisa during the Wildflower season. There is absolutely no better place to call home while visiting the area than Three Rivers Resort. The Ownership and staff consistently ensure our visits are enjoyable and relaxing. The personalized service and wonderful accommodations are graciously provided with special care and attention. We want to thank Three Rivers Resort for creating such a special experience and highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area.

My wife and I started coming to 3 Rivers in about 1995 when our son had a big interest in mountain biking. Along with friends who now have a home on Mt. Crested Butte, we were so impressed with the area we have been coming back almost every year since. We originally brought our travel trailer when the RV area was along the river. Eventually we rented our favorite older smaller cabins. Over the years our family has grown to include grandchildren. We love the setting, the Smoke House, the playgrounds, the river rafting, and fly fishing. The fantastic staff and laid back atmosphere is fun. I love sitting out under a tree in the morning with my coffee watching the rafters load up with my granddaughter on my lap. While for many years, 3 Rivers was a stop on a longer trip, it has become a destination. This summer we will be occupying three cabins and along with our local friends will have a gathering of 14 people. Can’t wait!!

We loved visiting Three Rivers Resort so much that we bought a cabin there! It’s been a great place to relax and enjoy our wildflower hiking, fishing and family visits. Our sons have enjoyed using the cabin regularly as well. Over the years we have really come to know the staff and owners of the resort and they make us feel so welcome.

Three Rivers has been a great place to call our home away from home annually for the past 20+ years! The staff is outstanding, caring, and helpful. The cabins are very comfortable and well maintained. Over the years we have participated in a variety of activities like the Garlic Mike’s Float & Dine trip, fishing all 3 of the rivers near the resort including a float fish trip from Almont to Blue Mesa Reservoir. We also enjoy golfing at nearby Dos Rios Golf Course with great scenery and wildlife.

We love the cabins on the river, fishing at the raft house, and kicking back at the Three Rivers Smokehouse. The resort’s central location to Gunnison, Crested Butte and Buena Vista as well as numerous rivers, streams and National Forest lands is fantastic for day trips to seek adventure or fish. One year we even toured Black Canyon of the Gunnison. My wife and oldest son did a raft float trip and loved it. However, I am more into fishing than rafting. Audrey guided us the past two times we visited and her abilities live up to the Orvis brand!
